Have you ever thought about how with Netflix, you go on there and you search for something to watch? Sometimes, it gets to the point you’ve been searching for hours for something to watch for that night and when it’s time to go to bed all you did was browse options. You found some things that you were interested in, but you weren’t sure you wanted to put your time into to watching the possible shows.

I mean, that’s a big investment to watch episodes of a series of something you don’t fully enjoy, especially when you might enjoy something else even more. So, you keep browsing. In the end, you don’t actually choose anything and you go to sleep with no achievement.

Sounds odd, but I would venture most people listening to this, their life is kind of like that.

Think about it. As an example, I have always wanted to play the guitar. Over a decade ago, I bought a guitar. It sat in my house for over 10 years. It took me seeing someone on social media play the guitar and having fun with it for me to develop that interest in the guitar after 10 years. Then it took them saying to me, “I actually have taught myself. I Use an app and it allows me to learn at my own pace. I can show you”.

I was lead to my actual decision-making of starting to practice guitar. I had been browsing the guitar for 12 years. I am not any good, but I’ve been practicing for maybe two-and-a-half or three months and I am way better than I was when I picked up the guitar first time.

That doesn’t happen unless I actually make the decision to ACT.

YOU can have all of the options in the world, but until I ACT none of those options are effective at fulfilling a need or driving to a result.

How much are you browsing your options in your life right now? Are you looking at your options saying ‘that would be nice if I did this” or “I’d really like to do this someday”?

I’d argue that anyone reading this is doing that in some fashion in their life.

The only way for those wishes to become realities is for you to act. So, sign up for those classes, join that gym call that person, apply for that job, do whatever it is that is the first step TOWARDS that wish. If you don’t, all you’ll be doing is browsing life.
