I do TRX. There is a reason for that. I like to play basketball, and I also like to be in shape. TRX allows me to prepare to do both. One of the main phrases of TRX is “all core, all the time”, and that is totally true. Think about it for a second. If you have better balance, which training in the TRX will give you, wouldn’t you think that you would be able to move quicker? Do me a favor. Stand on one leg, right now, and have your friend throw you a ball you have to reach for. Did you fall over? Did you lose your balance, or did you stay strong on that one leg? If you lost your balance or fell over, don’t you think that would equate on the basketball floor, or even in a good, creative workout, where you are moving in all planes of motion? If you have better balance on the court, or in the field, or wherever you are in life, it makes sense that you would be able to use more of your mind and muscle for the task at hand. TRX training makes your body very efficient, gives you a much stronger core, and makes you more balanced. If you don’t have to use your stabilizing muscles to constantly balance you, and your mind to think about balance, you can recruit more muscle, and more mind to lift MORE WEIGHT. That, in turn will help you be stronger, more powerful, and faster. Doesn’t it make sense? To be able to just plain MOVE more efficiently, you need to work on balance, stability, and bracing your core. TRX does all of that. It’s not an accident that the TRX is my favorite training tool. These are some of the reasons behind it. TRX can make you become stronger, can give you more muscle, can burn fat, and make you more athletic.
