I’m watching Spike TV and this show with Jillian Michaels and Randy Hetrick is on. We all know Jillian Michaels from The Biggest Loser, and most of you might not know who Randy Hetrick is, but he created the TRX Suspension Trainer, something I think you all know I love. Of course I decided I have a little interest in this show. Essentially, this show is about fitness product or program inventors bringing their products to the hosts (Michaels, Hetrick and this other dude) who then decide if it’s more worthy than the other people’s products to move on to the next round for a chance to win $100,000. Great, right!?
I have a slight problem with this. I’m only two inventors in, and both of them, I’ve seen at the conferences I go to every year at IDEA. Even in the show, the first guy, who is promoting his RCK 360 product, said he’s already a million and a half into the product. If he wins, what is another hundred grand going to do for him? I will say it’s a cool “core” trainer, but I don’t understand the end game here. They get a feature in Women’s Health magazine, and a hundred grand. For this guy, who is already in deep, that’s not going to do much for him. Well, who knows?
I’m interested to see how this show plays out, because through the previews, I already know a lot of these products or programs, as I’ve tried most of them. So far it’s just fun to watch for me, because Jillian is overly honest, and I love TRX. This next lady is jumping on trampolines. It’s not what you think either. You jump down, not up. Cool concept, but I had a trampoline certification 13 years ago. You see how much I use it right now:) It’s pretty cool, but I just don’t know if people are gonna get the hang of it. Great low impact high calorie burn, but we’ll see!
