Would you like to know something you can do TODAY, that will help you almost immediately with your fitness goals?  So would I.  Just kidding.  I’m going to give you a really easy objective that will help you every single day.  You don’t have to work harder.  You don’t have to painstakingly track every little thing you eat.  All you have to do, is monitor your sugar.  Here’s the kicker.  Right now, you don’t even have to pay attention to fruit.

Fruit is good, and I’ll say this.  In my experience, I’ve never seen a person become overweight eating too much fruit.  That’s not to say it couldn’t happen, but out of all the weight loss shows I’ve watched, all the stuff on TLC, all the body transformation stories, Fruit has never been any of these peoples problems.  Now that we have that out of the way, I would like you to do this one thing to give you an idea of how you might possibly improve on your nutrition.  Everything you eat, just take note of the added sugar or sugars in anything BUT fruit.  I think you’ll be surprised at the amount of added sugar you are eating in things you don’t even consider sweet.

I’m not going to give you numbers to follow, but an easy way to get better at it, is to track it for a couple days, then make better choices.  When you take a closer look at a lot of the things you are eating, you’ll notice that things you never realized had sugar in them, have quite a bit of sugar.  Breads, sauces, flavorings, cereals, milks, yogurts… all have PLENTY of added sugar.  Take a look, starting now.  Add it up.  If that number for a day is over 125 grams, try to get it lower immediately.  Your body will thank you.
