Don’t let the title alarm you. Actually, do. What are you doing right now, besides reading this? What were you doing before this? My guess is something else on the interwebz. Social media or Netflix or texting or whatever. More than likely, it was NOT moving around, hiking, exercising, etc. If it was, congratulations. You are one of the few.
The reason I’m saying this is because I just had a conversion with someone who was visiting their 92 year old grandma. Their take home? They are going to do everything in their power to have the ability to move for as long as they can. Why? Because she saw how difficult it was for her grandma to get around. The crazy thing is, a lot of people who ARE NOT 92 have difficulty getting around on a daily basis. For a lot of THOSE same people, their inactivity throughout life is why. Their daily habits have driven them towards this inefficiency with movement where they can no longer do the things that active people can.
So I’m asking you this question… Are you driving towards a life of regret with movement? If you are inactive, if you don’t stretch as much as you know you should or like, if you don’t move heavy stuff, if you don’t PLAY any more, do you care when you won’t be able to?
