It’s Fitness Flex Friday! That’s what I’m going to call it from now on. Welcome Las Vegas, and the surrounding areas of the world, to my very happy personal training blog. Gonna keep the vibe positive and happy and just get down to your workout business. MAKE TIME to work out. the last few days, I’ve had a few people cancel their appointments, skip fitness camp, and eat poorly. All have become an issue with me because I’m a personal trainer, and I actually take offense to all three things! Today’s post is just a friendly reminder to make time to get all components of fitness in during your week. If you have a trainer, schedule your appointments in advance so you don’t end up not scheduling a session, or end up not being able to get in with your personal trainer. Most trainers have a 24 hour cancellation policy, so if you don’t make your appointment, you just lose the money you put forth to that session. If that isn’t motivation, I don’t know what it. If you don’t have a personal trainer, schedule your workouts just like you schedule everything else in your day. It doesn’t matter where you schedule your exercise, as long as you keep to it. Some people like to do this before work, and some people after. Some people work out on their lunch hour, if it permits. Whatever the case, pick one, and stick with it. Don’t oversleep if you schedule it in the morning. Get up and work out. Trust me on this one, your day will be much more productive with the workout. If you schedule it after work, don’t go to happy hour. Make the gym your happy hour from now on. My point is this. There are plenty of excuses to skip your workout, and I hear many. If you don’t commit to this, you can’t expect results. Take the piano. I’ve never played it, but I’d love to be good at it. I can’t just automatically be good at it, I have to put in the work. Same thing with fitness. If you aren’t on your game yet, you have to practice, practice, practice! Get out there, and give it a shot!
